The 3 Biggest Problems You’ll Have with DNA Testing, and How IQYOU Overcomes Them All

Your DNA can give you great insights into your health, but you can't make health recommendations based solely on a genetic report.
If you're thinking about doing a DNA test, here are 3 things to know...
Does cancer run in your family?

Heart disease? Diabetes? Auto-immune issues? Gut issues?

Have you seen the commercials on TV suggesting that a DNA test can help you understand whether you're at risk of developing one of those diseases that "run in the family?"

Good or bad, the advertising is working.

More than 12 Millions people have now gotten tested to try and understand their risks for certain health conditions they may be predisposed to from birth.

But what should you do about the information your DNA reveals?

In 2013, Actress Angelina Jolie announced in a New York Times op-ed article that she underwent a preventive double mastectomy because a DNA test revealed that she carried a mutation in the BRCA1 gene.

Her story set off a firestorm of controversy, even landing her on the front page of Time Magazine (May 2013 issue).

Now, 5 years later, we're taking a look at what your DNA can really reveal about your health, and what you should be doing about it.

So if you're thinking about doing a DNA test, here are three things you need to know...
#1 - Most DNA Tests are Incomplete
When our medical team, led by Dr. Joe Pizzorno of Bastyr University, was developing the algorithms to incorporate genetic data into our calculations, we realized that many of the popular tests available today (like 23andMe and Ancestry) do not nearly have all of the genes that the clinical research shows as being relevant.

They have some of the big ones, but they're literally missing hundreds of relevant SNPs.

It's like trying to put together a puzzle where you're missing half the pieces.

Plus, if you've ever had a DNA test, you know that the biggest challenge is actually interpreting the data into something meaningful.

You get back pages and pages of lengthy "reports," that usually don't give you any real, actionable information...

People who are serious about their health typically have to download their raw data and then put it into some third-party genetic reporting tool to manually decode it to make sense of it.

And depending on which reporting tool you are using, you're likely to get mixed recommendations.  Among practitioners in the field, there's a fair amount of disagreement here.  Few of the reporting companies out there have well-researched, cited and actionable information.

Needless to say, it's all rather complicated -- even overwhelming -- for people who don't do this for a living.

#2 - DNA Results can be Misleading

This is a touchy subject among DNA testing companies, so let me explain this as diplomatically as possible...
We are all born with certain gene variances (called SNPs or "snips") that we inherited from our mother and father.

Some of your SNPs may indeed put you at higher risk for certain cancers, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's, or any other of a thousand different health conditions.

But the presence of a SNP does not necessarily mean there is any variation of function whatsoever.

That means just because you test positively for a particular risk variant does not mean you will definitely get sick.

(Similarly, you could still develop the condition, even if you don't have that SNP detected.)

So even if you had a complete report with all the relevant gene SNPs we know of, you're still not likely to get the full picture.

DNA is an important piece of the puzzle.  But it's not the whole picture.

At IQYOU, we're pioneering a new field of science called EpiBioGenetics®, which looks at DNA, together with many other factors like your biochemical markers, diet, lifestyle, environment and toxins to give you a more complete picture of your health.

We're using technology to overlay all these different sets of data together (literally thousands of data points about you) to find the hidden connections between them and provide you real, actionable information on what to do about it.

Instead of giving you generic reports, our technology gives you personalized recommendations on food, nutrients, toxin removal, and even lifestyle modifications to mitigate the most important risks, based on your individual situation, backed by real science.

We've got over 40,000 clinical studies embedded in our technology, which gives you the clinical evidence behind all our recommendations and key actions to take to optimize your health.

#3 - The DNA Privacy Dilemma
An editorial in the August 2, 2018 New England Journal of Medicine calls for more oversight, saying, "Our current regulatory approach to privacy in direct-to-consumer... genealogic testing has permitted the creation of a Wild West environment."

In short, yes.  They're packaging and reselling your data to big pharma.  Privacy advocates beware.

Here's a clip from "CBS This Morning" discussing the issue:
For us, this is an ethics problem.  We believe when you pay for a test, your data should be yours.  And the company that sold it to you doesn't have a right to re-sell your information behind your back, particularly when it applies to health and privacy.  Period.
What is the right solution?
We have a different approach that makes it easy and economical to get the results you really want.

Today we're introducing IQYOU DNA, a secure and confidential genetic test that integrates right into our platform.

We are looking deeply at hundreds of clinically relevant, well-researched SNPs in these following areas:

 - Detoxification ability
 - Endocrine / hormone regulation
 - Cardiovascular health
 - Inflammatory response
 - Digestive system and gut health
 - Neurological function
 - Immune system
 - Energy production
 - Musculoskeletal function
But the presence of a SNP does not necessarily mean there is any variation of function whatsoever.
It's a much more comprehensive approach -- looking at up to 7X more SNPs than other tests.

To get this much data on your genes all at once, you'd have to do multiple specialty tests from multiple companies, which would cost you thousands of dollars in laboratory fees.

But with IQYOU DNA, it's all in one single test, that you only have to do once, for $369.

It's one of the best investments you can ever make in your long-term health.

Plus, right now we're giving you a full year of IQYOU with your purchase, which means you don't have to worry about downloading and uploading your data files into a separate system.

Your results are automatically entered into your IQYOU profile for you. All you do is login and see your results, organized for you in priority order, with the most important action steps to take listed first.

IQYOU will help you tweak your diet, your exercise regimen, and your nutrition/supplements to minimize the risks that show up in your genetics, so you have a much healthier (and hopefully a much longer) life.

Like I said, we've made it easy.

But it gets better.

If you order before midnight on {{ExpirationDate}}, you'll get FREE SHIPPING (US only) and save an additional 25% off the regular price.

Welcome to the future of health. We're working every day to help you live better, longer.
